In the field, we leave little or no evidence of our presence, or of our discoveries. We achieve this through zero effluent waste discharge through waste treatment, minimizing water and air pollution through careful engine maintenance and fueling, recycling Celeste's household waste, using biodegradable products and cleaning agents, and employing voyage plans and navigation practices conducive to fuel efficiency. In turn, we ask clients attempt to leave no trace while in the frontier and help them them to achieve this. </div> <bR> <div> OU is only for the strong of body and mind. Southwest Alaska is a vast frontier of mountains, oceans, and wildlife, each presenting unique inherent dangers. He served two tours in the Coast Guard, as a deck watch officer on the cutter Alex Haley and as XO of the North Pacific Regional Fisheries Training Center, both based in Kodiak, Alaska. In 2005, Andy resigned his Coast Guard commission as a Leiutenant to create a career in wilderness recreation and environmental stewardship in Kodiak. </div> <bR> <div> After his Coast Guard service, Andy started Orcas Unlimited, an award-winning eco-tourism guiding service featuring mothership kayak tours from his 40' converted fishing vessel, the M/V Celeste.
